Twilight zone Player's Club
Player's Club Card at Casino Nova Scotia
No Player's Club card is needed to see a show at the Bruce Guthro Theatre, but Mira Dauphinee suggests keeping one in the wallet for dinner. Here is what the card can change on such a night, and how its level is set.

Getting the card
There is no charge for the Player's Club card, and one card works at both Nova Scotia casinos. Guests 19 or older complete a short application and present valid government photo ID. Which ID is accepted? At the casino, a passport, a driver's licence or a provincial ID card qualifies as government photo ID. Mira recommends finishing the sign-up before dinner so the card is ready when the meal is ordered.
On a show night
What touches dinner and the show
- Member pricing on food is one of the listed benefits, so the card is worth showing when dinner is ordered.
- Points collected on the card can be spent on food.
- Comps for events and show tickets are play-based, which means they come from what a member has played.
- Buffet discounts go by tier, and the 3Sixty buffet is laid out on Fridays and Saturdays only.
- Parking is also on the list, and every one of these benefits depends on play, with none of them guaranteed.

Levels
Four levels, two half-years
Player's Club levels run Bronze, Silver, Gold and Privé. A member's level is not set by the current visit. It comes from the points earned in the previous six-month period.
Points from January to June set the level for July to December. Points from July to December set it for January to June. So a dinner and show in October runs on the level earned from January to June. And a visit in March? That one rests on points from the July to December before it.
Keep it in its place
Keeping the card in its place
A comp is never a reason to stay at a table longer than planned. Mira's advice is general, not a casino rule: decide the evening's limit before dinner, and leave when it is reached. Points and tiers come second to that number. A person enrolled in the Casino Nova Scotia Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program cannot win prizes. The program covers both casinos, including their restaurants and entertainment venues.
Questions
Asked at the desk
What does getting a card involve, and is there a charge?
There is no charge. A guest 19 or older shows valid government photo ID and fills in a short application.
Which casinos honour the Player's Club card?
The same card is used at both Nova Scotia casinos, in Halifax and in Sydney.
Which half-year sets the level for a November visit?
Points from January to June set the level for July to December, so a November visit runs on that half-year.
Will the card bring show tickets on every visit?
Comps for events and show tickets are play-based, and none of the Player's Club benefits is guaranteed. Theatre tickets themselves are sold only through Ticketmaster.
